His Electra MPC bass. MPC stands for Modular Powered Circuits - built-in effects modules, like phase shifter, auto wah, flanger, octaver, overdrive, fuzz, and something called "frog noise" and "tank tone". They had Ric copy bridge/tailpieces. They were built in the 70's by Matsumoku, Japan.
Here's one
on eBay, still at $199.

Squires I believe was some type of "prototype". It has a few different features.

Ooops, Youtube removed due to copyright infringement? Is this due to the video licensing, or is just plain illegal to have, possess, play, display, or otherwise think about a Rick copy, even the hardware?
