I've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with two DHL employees outside of the freight environment and been particularly unimpressed with their demeanor, personal skills and professionalism. I don't want to paint with too wide a brush based on this small sample, but perhaps they've managed to specialize in hiring all the folks that just don't care.

I have used DHL AIR for several years now. No problems. Always on time. Everything in one piece. I no longer use ground service for musical instruments.

When I was in college I used to work in a shipping warehouse that used UPS and FedEx. I used to watch the drivers THROW the packages into the back of their trucks daily. It was that style or nothing. The suggestion was to insure everything.

Would that be moderated by Dr. I.P. Freely?

Slightly back on topic......

It's been over 24 hours so I opened the case to check things out. The bass is room temperature without a hint of cold. So all seems well. It plays nice and has a good tone.....I'll know more about it's sound when I play it with my main rig at practice Thursday and a gig on Saturday. One of the p/u screws is stripped but other than that it is in excellent condition. It certainly needs a good cleaning and polishing though. I'll take some fresh pics when I get it cleaned up later.

Very cool Brian! Being a later v63, I suppose this one has one of the thicker necks, am I right?

Hope it's around for MARF. Image
