Donny, I don't think the sale did fall through. The new owner is just selling it straight away. Even with basses that I think will not be a keeper I will always wait about a month just to make really sure. It may be a good deal, but I would have thought that 600 should be the top price for this one.
Not wishing to p**s too many here off but I got very good condition 1973 4000 FG on ebay a couple of weeks ago for about £650 shipped. Still pinching myself over that one!
