Yeah George! What color?
I'm thinking about getting one and putting a dog-ear pickup at the bridge, in case that single coil doesn't do it for me.

Went for the sunburst John...I have a 60's Silvertone BOX ..the MM box will look cool next to...I don't think you can go too far wrong on this one...will be interesting to see how the forumites rate it...a stacked Duncan w/a push pull pot might be an idea?

It would certainly fit better, but i'm not much of a humbucker guy, or a coil-tap guy either. Gotta be a real deal single coil for me, I just have no idea about this one really.
Maybe i'll take a trip to a Sam Ash/Guitar Center this weekend and see if they have 'em in stock yet.

re: pups...Johnny Ramone once said that once you get up past a certain volume (11?) all pups sound the same...I was lucky enough to see Albert Collins play a couple of dozen times..he would set his Tele on the neck bucker..slap on a capo and could make that Tele sit up and beg..tone like an icepick but not harsh..of course he could also make his guitar sound like a 327 Vette engine! No pick only fingers..it's all in the hands..I have a feeling the stock pickup will work just fine for me.

Love the Iceman! Had no idea that tone came from the neck 'bucker though - always sounded so trebly.

I believe he would change pup setting while playing...he would have his amp(mostly a Fender Quad Reverb) set with the treb all the way up and the bass on 0 and the reverb up as well..what tone

Mitch, you seemed to be on top of these models, what's been the concensus on them? I still want one in White.
George, how do you like yours?

John,
It was pretty cool..had a chance to make a couple of $$ so sold it after a week. The feel to me was like a nice top end Silvertone or Harmony from the 60's...frets were nice and it had a nice growl. This was the single pup model. Paul W. was over and saw it..thought it was ok but to quote him.."shows anyone with a router can make a guitar"..still is a nice one to have about...

Hi John, well,I don't have one but I asked friends at other forums to give me a review and I think this one sums up the general consensus on these:
"Had mine for a few weeks now, I still love it. Great sounding guitar.
The single coil is more like a humbucker and sounds VERY beefy and all the controls work the minute you use them unlike Les Pauls.
Only complaints are the fret ends are a little sharp but nothing a fret dress can't fix.
Overall, VERY VERY good guitar for the $$$"
