John B and Sheena.....So what you're implying here is that in a few years we won't be talking about instruments but WILL be talking about lower back pain, corns, bunions and heel-spurs, and the latest medical advances concerning curvature of the spine?? :^>) Now THAT's a lifestyle I can do without. :^>)

Hmmm... not sure, Rich. I've been wearing those since i was, like, 8 or so, and nowadays - 20 years on - i still have no back or feet problems (knock on wood). Well, anyway, i only wear them in late spring, summer and early autumn...

"Well, anyway, i only wear them in late spring, summer and early autumn..."

...which, in Russia, amounts to 10 days a year...LOL

I recently bought a pair of Converse All Stars, 'cause they're what I wore as a kid (about all there was in those days as far as athletic shoes, way before the plethora of trendy sports footwear).

Suddenly everywhere I went, young-ish associates would say, "Nice Chucks". Had no idea what they were talking about til I asked. These are somewhat trendy, I found out to my dismay.

I will confess to owning a pair of L.A. Gear once

We have special people here who clean the driveways in the cities. That's their job in winter.

Mid-summer.
