Wow -- a fantastic response and contribution from so many Forumites ..... once we get this all compiled, maybe Peter might allow a "Glossary" tab or some file like that to be set up on the side-board (Utilities ?) for everyone's on-going reference ??

RM is Rose Morris, so what is a Roger McGuinn? Just a Roger McGuinn?

Well, he's RM too. His model was the 370/12RM. But there should be no confusion here, as there was no Rose Morris version of that model.

CW = Carl Wilson model 360
Also:
C64s = C64 vintage series with satin finish

There is also the sometimes forgotten 'B' series of 1982. The precursor to the V series.

Good point, Stan; to my knowledge, B wasn't an abbreviation but only a model designator. We probably should include these model designators as well:
v = Vintage Reissue Series designator (as in 325v59 etc.)
c = C Reissue Series designator (as in 325c58 etc.)
Here are some from the RIC pricelist updated Jan 2000:
Also, RBY is the correct abbreviation for Ruby (
http://www.rickenbacker.com/catalog_poster_piece.asp?poster_piece=cf75x-14.jpg); the reference cited also has
BRN = Brown
NAT = Natural
for the "Custom (Matte Finish)" colors available on 3000/3001 model basses and 430 model guitars.
