At least when the guitars were melting that day, the beers were ice cold, and went down beautifully!
See you Monday Aitch!

Today we held the second 2007 Aussie RickResource confluence at Howard Bishop's house here in Melbourne.

Shane McAlpine joined us for the first time today, along with the usual suspects Ron Viney, Greg Rahilly, Howard and I. Brian Medway joined us via the magic of the telephone Image

Here are a few pictures:-

Howard and I with our 75th Anniversary models and matching Rickenbacker t-shirts. Such fashion doyens:-

Howard's new rear patio was the perfect place for basking in the early autumn sun, sipping a cold beer, strumming a fine Rickenbacker and discussing everything from eBay scams to nut width differences with a few good mates.

It was pretty cool being able to talk on the phone with Brian Medway, who is due to reach our sunny shores in December this year.

A fun afternoon was had by all. Thanks Howard! Image

Awesome pics! Looks like a great time was had by all.

Some of those new additions look very nice, especially those 75th anniversary guitars.

Glad all went well!

Thanks Howard for putting on another great Aussie social!
The "usual suspects"!!!! gave a typically warm welcome to Shane, and gave him plenty of ammunition for when he goes hunting for Ric number 2!
Aitch, the only thing going through my head as i held your 75th Ann.330 was.... "Hold on tight and run like hell!!!!" Both 75th models were awesome!
Thanks for the day Aitch, and thanks for the lift Trotty!

Thanks to all for making it a very enjoyable afternoon, especially Howard for the hospitality and Darren for the lift.

I learnt a few things on the way and came home with a severe case of "Ric-envy".

How am I going to explain that to the wife ????

Graham, there's a very expensive vintage guitar shop in Sydney, which rarely has any decent Rickenbackers. Asking prices tend to be about 300% above the market.

There are better ones here in Melbourne. Image

I wish that I was there.

When Howard posted ...

"1-1/2 hours to go! The ice is in the Esky, the fridge is full, snacks are ready...... all systems go!! "

I told my wife that we still had time to make it.. Image

Marvelous photos, guys. Thanks for sharing.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
