Well, knowing how outrageous old Fender prices are, I guess I wouldn't be able to afford it unless I totally liquidated... nah... it's only a Fender!

having already owned a 1976 JG 4001, and wanting a new 4003, I had exactly the same dilemma: MG or something else? I decided that MG, FG, and JG (which I already had), were the most common, and the AFG would be more uncommon. So, I decided to get something different from the standard colors. Especially since the new MGs don't have the skunk stripe like the old 4001s.
When it arrived, I knew I'd made the right choice. It's quite nice and no pic will do it justice, I expect. Of course, YMMV.
