It would be cool to be able to afford something like that ... but reality is I can't. Still sweet looking. I'll just look at the CD or Album cover. That 'ell be my 'fix'.

Good idea John,
I could start the discussion with something like, "honey, I'm going to do something for charity, so I'd like to take out a second mortgage and"....
She'd kill me for sure!

I'd estimate somewhere between "a lot" and "whoa!" ...

Do you think it would go for that much? I'll try and pop along to the auction and see what happens.

IMHO I don't think that it will go for crazy money. It is unique, but does a very nice and very fancy refinish make a bass worth a lot? Does any one remember a bass from about two years ago with a sort of stone effect spray job with a spider on it? It was good work but I don't think it sold for a great deal.
If we are keeping a book.... my guess would be 3200 USD.

Anyone have an idea how I can get portrait-quality shots of that bass for the book?

Paul,
John mentioned that it was going to be part of an upcoming Christies auction, if that's the case Christies would / will take high quality pictures to go into the Auction catalouge.
I'd suggest contacting Christies, and ask them.

Thats a cool looking Rick.
Maybe Chris Squire should buy it.
I wonder what a Relayer Rick would look like?
I still havent had time to get my FG V63 re-finished so maybe this is the way to go?
I will check out their website.
Great pics Graham.

Maybe Chris Squire should buy it.
Uh, Chris Squire donated it (with a little help from us). He owns the graphic design after all.
