Vell, I'm not shoor! {:^) That would be my guess, in Poland. Here the pronunciations get wierd. So, my guess in the US, it may be Willzinskee.

For instance, in Germany, my name has an umlaut over the o, no h or e, and has a pronunciation that does not translate.


Here in the US, most folks pronounce it Goreing, my family pronounces it Gearing.

Go figure!

My favorite mispronunciation is, Gohearing!!!

Well, here Goe(h)ring would be pronounced as [Gering]... as far as "cz" is concerned, i thought it was [ch], like in "Czech".
Hmmm... how about Razafindrandriatsimaniry? Or Andrianampoinimerinatompokoindrindra? I'm glad i'm not living in Madagascar...

Personally I always get a kick out seeing the various forms of my name in writing that I have experienced over the years and also the wild pronunciations that I have had to endure with a bit of grin (or grimace).

I have often wondered why people get so tongue tied over a name that is only just a little bit unusual. I can only imagine what would happen to a name like Razafindrandriatsimaniry.

What I admire about Paul is his willingness to take the time to share his knowledge with others without the expectation of personal gain.

As time marches on, I hope at some point in my development to attain some semblance of wisdom. Paul is there.

But I'm hot on your heels Paul. Keep the "good stuff' coming.

So today Paul shows up to band practice with three brand new mic's and all the trimmings for us...least he can do considering he also drives an hour or two each way for practice every week...think we'll keep him!
