I seem to recall reading something from back in the 60's from F.C. Hall that the shorter scale could be used by the professional player to "Cover more fretboard" so to speak. And that he thought that this scale might become the standard for guitars in the future.

Keep in mind that this was a long, long time ago and my memory is not what it use to be.

Hopefully John Hall could comment on this.

Thanks. I just think they look kinda funny. And I'm a little guy. (With really large hands)! I cannot imagine how that guitar would look on a really big person.

Seriously, I've always thought the 350 looked better... My fingers are fairly average length... I'm just wondering how much more reach you can get. Seems to me you'd need a big change to make a fret difference down by the nut, where it counts. I've always been able to stretch out there fine by breaking the rules a bit with my thumb.

It's kinda like a regular Ric neck capoed at the 3rd fret.

OK, which is not that big a difference. Maybe I just need to play one and shut up.
