My first instinct for one of those first ones (the shortest song I believe) was 'Rape Me' from Nirvana... I haven't heard that song in a long time, and I'm not sure its even close, but I'd kick myself if that turned out to be it and I didn't put it forth ;).

JDog, my family and I listened to your track yesterday during our 500 mile trip between Melbourne and Adelaide. The acoustic sounds absolutely dynamite and the quality of the recording is superb. Not bad for a "slap up" effort! Image

Darren, thanks! Sorry you all had to be subject to my lyrics.

Stuart, don't be shy, you're pretty close.

All but one song have been identified, and that last unidentified song, well, someone who posted in this thread definitely knows what it is. I'm surprised no one has won yet.

Will no one win these strings?

Shoot, I don't know how I missed that Shamus Twins tune the first time. "Too Much Gravity".

Thanks everybody! I'm all about the attention.

Still waiting for a post with all 8 tunes. You all are sooooooo close. If no one wins, it will really stink. So show some spirit and give it a shot!
