Getting a new studio out of the deal is a great consideration John. I wish I had my own studio period!
I hope the move goes well and without event.

Just got my Tech in January and the General on Feb 23rd the day code was lifted, and I'm studying for the Extra now. I was always too lazy to learn the code, I'm still going to learn it though. I've been into radios since I was a kid, have a whole lotta tube radios, a few consoles and many boatanchors as they're called. Most of them are heavy enough to be anchors, weigh as much if not more than SVT's. For receivers I have two Collins R-390's, 2 R-390A's, (which were army, navy, spy, etc. radios and top secret until 1968 and will compete with the best of today still) a Hammarlund SP-600, several Hammarlund SP-400's and 200's, a Hammarlund HQ-180, a Hallicrafters SX-28A, National HRO-60's and 50's, on and on. I have a Heathkit DX-100 HF AM-CW transmitter that uses the same tubes as an old SVT, 6146's, but haven't gotten my antenna up yet with this lousy weather we've been having in Ma. lately. I have 400' LW's up for receiving but am putting up a 160M Dipole for 160 meters up to 10 meters. I have all the stuff but the ladder.
I started out as a BCB Dxer years ago and still am, heard Saudi Arabia tonight on 1521 KHz which is fairly easy here on the East coast. I went to tech school years ago but was only interested in tube technology and was told wrongly that tubes were going out and would soon be obsolete, this was in 1981, how wrong they were.
There are a lot of AMers here on the East coast, of which I'll be one if I ever get this damn antenna up.
