It looks like I might be bringing this guitar to MARF. Dan doesn't think he'll be able to make it so he's going to entrust it to me for the weekend.

Based on the photos, just seeing this guitar in person should make the trip worth while.

Hey Dale, did the router take off all the original corner round when you cut the binding routs or did you have to monkey around to get the proper grooves? Great job, by the way!

The overarm pin router followed the profile of the body and made an exact .090 channel for the binding..Same as we made them in 1974 at Electro String. The round over edge was cut away when the channel was cut leaving a nice surface to glue the binding to.....

Great work, Dale! I went through the neck forming again and you can see the flaming in the maple even then. Another one saved from the scrapheap! That back of the body was so nice it could have been left MG. Your burst left a lot to look at grain-wise.

C'mon, you and Paul have to admit it, you guys get a woody working on these fine instruments, no?! Image

I've played this now and it sounds and plays like a dream. One of the true hits of the Fest. A REALLY great guitar and great job, Dale.
