I ordered a jetglo 4004 Laredo in October(06) and was quoted 12-18 months, if it gets here by the end of the year(07) that would be great.

Go JG Laredo!

Image

I bought my ex-TG Cii from Wade's....excellent, smooth transaction. I would certainly do business with them again.

My last few new Rics have come from watching RIC's "recently shipped" section then placing a few phone calls. I got my JG Laredo and TG Cii that way. I certainly got lucky with the 4004's but I see no reason to order a common color 4003 when they go out from the factory at a pretty steady pace.

Thanks for the welcome. Actually, I hung around here a few years ago, sold my MB 4003 (ugh!) and split till now. I got the AFG today and it is stunning, actually less yellow than I thought it would be and I like that--quite authentic looking. I'll try to get a pic to you all soon. And by the way, it's good to be back amongst you all.

Hey!!!!

I was going to ask Alex if I could check out that AFG with the possibility of switching my deposite over.

Congrats Grink. BTW, same 'ol bridge eh? There were rumors of a new one.

After checking out Ric's website again, it looks like there will be bunch of MIDs (midnight blue) hitting the market. Even a few AFGs here and there.

They must be rolling up there sleaves to do their artistry on my '07 JG right now.

Here is a link to a couple of pics of the new 4003. The folks at Wade's did a great job of setting her up and were a pleasure to deal with. I'm hoping that all of you who are waiting will soon have the pleasure of cracking the case and inhaling the sweet smell of a new Rickenbacker very soon!

Here's a pic of my old (ahem) '06 from Wades. It had a improperly seated nut. Wade took care of it himself. You're right, Grink. The guys know what the are doing.

Jerry that is undoubtedly the nicest AFG 4003 I've seen yet. Sweet acquisition!! Congratulamackations.

I especially like that the fretboard and bindings are not super yellow, or at least don't appear to be from those pics.
