Vintage tone and feel is all about age.

You can duplicate the bass but you cant manufactor the aging process.

Right now there is a 72-73 P bass with an original P "A" neck on it, these are the same width as the old Jazz necks which were very narrow at the nut, I think 1.5 inches, very slim necks, nice to play. A P bass with an original P "A" neck is not very common.
