I'll say it again that you've got a cool daughter, Linsay.
She surely has a way with guitar images.

And thanks for the nice words. Ah, I do plan to publish a photo book once I have nine(!!!) Rick basses and I wish that day would come soon.

I dare not say my Epiphone Viola Bass sounds better than the real Hofners but her flamey maple front (without pickguard) and back sure grab my eyes better!

Yes, that Epi definitely is nice looking Paul, it puts mine to shame, the finish on mine is terrible, and actually maybe I shouldn't say that it sounds better than a Hofner as that is a very subjective opinion and I love the sound on the early Beatle records, different is a better word perhaps. It doesn't sound like a hollow body bass at all, it's got a very punchy treble pickup on it, and it cuts through the mix much better than a Hofner does, it almost sounds like a ric. These were imported by Rickenbacker during the 60's from Italy as I'm sure you are aware of.
