Congrats on the mando Ron,
Hopefully when I am there later this year you can teach me a few licks.

Chords Brian, chords - No licks!!!
I'm having enough trouble coming to grips with them, let alone contemplating getting flash with soloing! LOL

Well........
After having some fun playing Ron's new Washburn last Sunday I just couldn't resist!!
Mine's a little different, however:
Ron introduced me to Steve Earl's 'Copperhead Road' on Sunday and I played it twice this morning along with REM's 'Losing My Religion'....... Goodness me!! They're mean little finger bruisers aren't they??

John: I keep telling myself
"sell something before you buy something, you idiot!!" but I'm just not listening!!
Mind you, this one was a NOS bargain!

Now I will no doubt experience "double trouble" I'll have both Ron and Aitch to teach me the ropes, er.... I mean chords and strings.
You should have a considerable leg up by the time I get there lads. Copperhead Road eh? I love that song.
Congrats Aitch. It looks great.

Congrats on the Ovation Howard, I was wondering whether the bug would get you.
Did they ever write a "Duelling Mandos" version of Duelling Banjos? Hang on that's a bit optimistic to shoot for at the moment, (if ever

).
The next get together could be interesting Aitch, hope your neighbours like Blue Grass, (and I don't mean the smoking kind - having said that they may wish they had some once we get started!)LOL

Hahahahaha!!

I'm racking my brains for some goodies that include mandolin or something that would sound really cool (or ridiculous!) transcribed from guitar to mando.
Perhaps something like the AC/DC tracks that those dudes in the US did 'bluegrass style' on banjo and acoustic a few years back!
