Thanks for the replies ! ...sorry, i should have mentioned
i play in a Beatles tribute band so going wireless is out of
the question...

Since i wear a suit when playing, i like Eriks idea best about looping
it around my belt...though i guess if someone stepped on the cord,
my pants would fall down

Off Topic:
The guitar was manufactured in 1990 (360/12WB) ...i've used
pyramids for approx 12 of those years ...and though my 'R'
tailpiece has broken once, Mr.Hall has stated the the newer 'R's
are stronger. Haven't players like McGuinn used pyramids on their
12 string for years without a problem ? Anyone here or know
someone that has had the neck busted or other problem
(other than a broken 'R') from long term pyramid string use ?

When I do use a cord, this is what I do - I pull the cord through a spare hole on the strap. Most times I use the Samsom airline as Charly suggested.

The first company that creates a wireless guitar.........................(someone please finish that thought)

will go bankrupt. the Company that SUCCESSFULLY markets a wireless guitar will have the one advantage over the failed model. they'll have a bass with a button on it that makes the guitar beep so you can find it under your laundry and such!

Uh, guys? It's already been done. In fact, I own two wireless guitars. They're called acoustic guitars.

Oh sure. So when you step on the cable, rather than pop off the tail piece, your pants fall on stage.

I don't understand why you can't loop the cord around the strap, just like with other guitars. I don't own a Rick with an "R" tailpiece, but they can't be THAT delicate, can they?

I always loop the cord through the strap when performing with my electric guitars--I can't imagine why it would be a problem, 6- or 12-string, R tailpiece or not....

I've never looped a cord, never had one pull out.

My bassist loops his around his neck.

Hmmmmmmmm, well, ...ah....seems I have a problem here...Being as my shoulders are broader than my hips, I usually hold up my jeans with a pair of suspenders.
