Love the Purpleburst. I wonder how a Mink acoustic would look!

Surprised? Eh, no. I'd rather be shocked if i see it one day! And that day, i'd probably... hmmm... do what? haven't decided yet. But i'd guess that never happens. Image

Another negative vote here for purple. But hey, it's not my money.

As far as the other ones go, simply gorgeous.

RE: "The Tobacco Burst was also shipped to Mike Parks. He should be receiving it next week sometime, if anyone's interested."

Paul, you're selling them to dealers? I had thought only to end users.

Maybe Mike Parks is just going to put it up on his site as not for sale and taunt everyone with it.

Hate to go against the flow here, but I wouldn't be afraid to be seen with the purpleburst. There are other finishes I'd take ahead of it, however.

I'm looking forward to seeing those finished. If I was a little bit busier, work-wise, you would have more of these things to do.

"Selling them to dealers"...

Not exactly. Mike has ordered two so far, as a regular customer. We have no "dealership" arrangement. I assume he'll be selling them on his site.

I was quite intrigued at doing the Purpleburst, and left my own judgement until the instrument was completed.

Some people think, "Prince", right away. Others just can't get into the color. That's OK, but in person the color and maple flame make the guitar a knockout. Maybe it'll go to the Hudsons...

That Purpleburst is fantastic. If I was in the market for an acoustic, it would already be mine!

You either love those colours that are statement making, (and they don't get any better than this) or you stay in the shade...

Now, to find a beater bass to send for the full PW Purple Experience...

Thanks! I think I can safely say that there will be some more unusual, but lovely, colors and color schemes which will be seeing the light of day in the near future. Stay posted.

Nothing wrong with a well-done purpleburst on an acoustic! And of course it will be an opinion-provoker.

But Elys really intrigued me with the notion of a Peacockglo...

In the end, I'm a sucker for a gorgeous dark natural woodstain. But that purple Rick will turn heads for it's lifetime.

Paul, your sunburst is incomparable. I absolutely love it.

It's vageuly reminiscent of the Martin sunburst (at least it seems so from that pic) but the "spray pattern" or whatever you call it is heads and shoulders above theirs.

...not to mention the gorgeousness and gorgeosity of the guitar itself.

Oliver, I can take no credit for the design of these guitars, as it was a "given". I'm only responsible for build and finish. Sunburst colors and shadings have been an obsession of mine from the very start, way back in 2005...

Melissa, You'll be needing a companion purpleburst to go with your 330. Image
It's such a beautiful color. I was fortunate enough to see the 330 purpleburst in person.
I prefer the purpleburst out of all the colors show in Paul's photo.

Someday there will be people who will talk about "the purple Rick acoustic" as if were an urban legend, or something like that.

I like it, it's bold, and I agree it'll be grabbing all the attention in the room for a very long time!
