Pretty good- it's swamp ash so it's not much more than 7 lbs total, and surprisingly it does no nose dive, like my Frickenbird (Fender-Rick pickup'd-Thunderbird hybrid)
Overall, pretty nice.

Nope, according to Bill at Reranch, it's Dahpne. I think there's a little more green vs yellow, it's only slightly darker than Sonic Blue.
It's fun but I'm going to swap the 500K tone pot with a 250K, and run a .1mfd cap to pull down the 500K volumes. It's a bit TOO trebly; the Maxima gold strings are extremely bright.
I linked to the Fender Forum because I can never get pictures to post clearly here. Besides, those guys were asking me about it as well
Thanks!

I would have, Jeff but I have 'em in my Frickenbird already. Like them a lot, they're great pickups, just wanted to try some toasters in this one. I need to get a new pickguard.

Clearly the Entwistle influence rages on. Poor guy, his 5 year anniversary of his passing is coming up this week. RIP the Ox, you live on by influencing others.
Nice bass Tom!
And Peter, thanks for letting us indulge in a slightly off topic thread. Hey I coulda picked Jazz Bass pups but for me and my projects it has to be backed by the 'Backer!
