Howard, modulating up in minor thirds is just moving up the fingerboard every three frets, like A to C to D sharp, etc. Now you have some theory in your brain! You can now dazzle your friends with your newly found musical knowledge!

That's great, Jeff...... I'll be modulatin' my *ss off!!
Dane: I'm keen on specific songs also. I have about 25 Beatles songs in my playlist, so it would be good if one or two found their way in.
Chris: "Just follow someone's lead, Aitch..." That's what worries me.... especially if it's Graham's or Darren's lead to the bar!!

Graham will be too busy looking for warm beer. That only leaves Darren that you have to worry about!

There ya go Howard. We could form little groups..a bass player, guitarist, drummer, a singer who actually knows all of the lyrics to a song and just brainstorm on some songs that everyone in the group knows or at least thinks they can follow. Then draft a few extra people to do backup vocals. Theres a group of people I do this with every spring. it starts about 6:00PM and lasts all night long and into the next morning. Alcohol will play it's roll too as the evening progresses and people loosen up and try some songs and ideas they might not normally do.

I'm not sure who I will be able to wrangle up from my regular cast for this shindig, but I will certainly participate on some level.
Hopefully I'll have a chance to have a couple of cocktails first this time.
