You're such a tease....

I've heard more than one person say that it tastes better in the Emerald Isle. I plan to be in Belfast this Fall and will find out first hand whether its true. (Northern Ireland, I know, but better than any local pub here...even an Irish one).

Too much head on that one........ and no shamrock in the foam!

That one IS in the Emerald Isle, John Here are a couple of other photos taken by me on my most recent trip this year. The first one is what happens to an Irish lass after an entire Guinness and my telling her how comely and available Aitch is (she's ready to fly Quantas right now to woo him ), and the second one is one lass trying to pinch her neighbor's Guinness whilst the neighbor is distracted by me taking the snap:

I hate to say it, but when I lived out there, I never spent too much time at TrueTone's. My car always seemed to head towards McCabes (where I bought my first electric guitar) or to Norm's (where I bought my first Rickenbacker).

McCabe's is a great store! I spent an hour or so there on my last trip to LA and got into a nice conversation about the local music scene with a woman who worked there. I stole a few picks out of the barrel on the counter ("purloined from McCabe's"), and bought a few more. Their collection of acoustic instruments is amazing. Their electric selection was interesting.

Where's Norms? I know McCabe's, on Santa Monica Blvd, right?
