The 345 had a single-truss rod neck that was warped, and deemed beyond repair in 1989 by the top guitar tech in my city. The guitar was in the family for 40 years, but seldom played. Dad preferred his classical guitar, and I only used the 345 for the first couple of years of playing guitar, before moving on to better ones. It was worthless from a player's standpoint, and only valuable as a "vintage" instrument. I hated the Kaufmann vibrola and the roller saddles on the bridge too. My 370 is a far superior guitar to the old Capris. I did like the Capri body shape, though. If it didn't have the neck issues, I would have bought a fixed tailpiece and converted it to a 340. My other two sold Ricks were made redundant by the 370 also.

I was lucky enough to be able to buy the 360 WB back 8 years later from the friend I sold it to!

A friend of mine had this for over 20 years, I finally got it back from in October of '03! I bought it in '73 while in high school.
