Of course it's not the 1st time, John B. That's just the 1st time when i took time to look for this thing on local websites.
Hey, John A., that's my favorite "soda pop" drink! Well, it was my favorite when i was a kid - you're right, they put too much sugar into it now. And right, some mix it up with the "burning water" that Jeffrey posted.

The other one we've had recently is the kvass soda, also very (too) sweet but interesting flavor - bread beer taste. Similar product:

Yeah, and this thing is also used to make "okroshka"... nice "product placement" here.
BTW, real kvass shouldn't be too sweet.

Real Kvass is made at home and not in a factory!!

Yeah. But not so many people here make it now, most prefer buying ready-made.
