Also, though Tony Carey's section is good, i'd like to see a section where people post their own recordings, or their band's music, etc.

John, IIRC, the idea of "Our own recording" section was already discussed here before, and some said there was too little interest from members to the other members' recordings. Threads like, "my new recording", appear from time to time in different sections but usually don't get many comments (compared with threads like "a new Rickenbacker bass/guitar in my collection").

How about TAIL DRIFT?

How about: "The Dead Horse Corral" for all those threads...you know the ones!

DOWN IN FLAMES is a great idea.... but since somebody else suggested it, it's a sucky idea and therefore all us boneheads will have to be civil.... most of the time anyways.

I am reminded of that Monty Python sketch where there were these special rooms you go into, pay for a block of time, and have someone just sit there and insult you, or have someone disagree with everything you said, or any one of a dozen other things. Like an anti-shrink, or anti-psychiatrist's office.

Since that happens at times here anyway when we don't want it to, why not set aside a forum category where you can go when you do want to get flamed in different ways, on purpose?

That is sorta like Down In Flames, but structured so that you can get mistreated in a different way every day.

If that is too negative, then there can be a balancing set of categories, maybe the Gardens Of Eden, where no matter what you post, others say only mice and good things about you - like that Twilight Zone episode where Billy Mumy had omniscient powers and so everyone had to constantly tell him how great he was, or else he would take away their mouths, or put them out into the field.
