Actually, I was hoping for a nice translucent teal.

I really like the Blue Boy color, and I was thinking it was going to be a standard color, not the 2004 finish.
However, this is kind of a good thing for me. If it were any type of purple I'd definitely order myself another Ric bass. Thankfully since it's Blue Boy I can save my cash. BUT I may get a 4003 Blue Boy this year if I clear all my debts and finish my rig. Then I can pair it up with my 4001 Azureglo and call them "The Blues Brothers."

Dang it! I bought a turquoise last year to play. Now, what, it's gonna be collectable? Nooooooooo!

My only regret is that I ordered a MB 360/12 at the last minute even though I can't afford it, thinking MB was gone for good.

That's OK Jeff, you will have a year to get ready to get it!

Ah, but I could have had two!
Fortunately Blue Boy doesn't do it for me, but I'll have to restrain myself from buying another MB bass. I have a while to think about that one.
I do wish Ric would give some advance notice when end of lining a "stock" color. I probably would have ordered a TUR something had I known instead of MB.

Buying a RIC seems to be a lot like having a baby. Ordering it is like announcing to your friends that your wife is pregnant. Then the waiting as the "delivery date" gets closer and closer, and then finally the delivery 9 months later. The only difference with babies is that they come pretty much stock.
I've never had the pleasure of being able to order a new RIC, but it sounds like that is the kind of feeling I have gleaned from the experiences of others in the forum.
