Sounds like me and "The Rain Song" by Zeppelin...I just learned about the alternate tuning for it!! It can be done in standard, but it Ain't Easy. Image

>>After all, John conceived and played the I Feel Fine >lick (on an acoustic no less)<<

Not to diminish John's brilliance, but credit should be given to the guy who originally wrote the riff later used on I Feel Fine: Bobby Parker, who was featured on the PBS show "John Lennon's Jukebox" (fascinating program, BTW). You can hear Parker talk about the riff and hear him play it on the program.

From Wikipedia:
Lennon's "I Feel Fine" riff would seem to bear a striking resemblance to one found in "Watch Your Step", a 1961 release written and performed by Bobby Parker and covered by The Beatles in concerts during 1961 and 1962 (with the two songs also sharing a remarkably similar Latin-style drum pattern.

and this one... does anyone know what Paul was doing when he would always say "Thank you very much, da" ??? as he does in the beginning of this clip. Whats up with the "da"? It appears quite deliberate and can be seen on many of the old Beatles clips.

Paul is saying "ta" (not sure of the spelling) which is English slang for thank you.
Just make the time to play guitar!
