A Genesis and energy thread combined...

The name Dane Paul Terry springs to mind....

Beg to differ Dane - yes they did put on a great show while Peter was the front man, but as time passed & technology kicked in, the shows they have put on since have just got better & better. The stage for the current tour is nothing short of amazing

Fancy staging and lighting is one thing, but Gabriel brought real theatrics to the show. Art vs. technology! I'll take art any day. Image

I wasn't comparing them Jeffrey - each are/were wonderful in their own right.
Anyone unfortunate enough to have never seen the Gabriel era shows should check out The Musical Box - they do a beautiful job of re-creating those shows

Did someone call? (hey, Wints...)

I remember the energy it took to get our Genesis cover band's Hammond C3 loaded into clubs...especially ones on the second floor. It was a crisis every time we played.

(I had a lot more energy back in the early seventies, personally...didn't we all.)

Anyway: there presently is no interest in developing an alternative to big giant theatrical rock shows because there is no money in it at this stage.
