I've got a box full of 70s and 80s era YES tickets that were part of a larger ticket collection I acquired ages ago.

I located a picture and a few ticket stubs.. the picture was taken by a friend in 77 or 78 not sure which at the then Capital Center.. now renamed Verizon or other bigwig company... always will be the Cap Center to some.....

I saw Iron Maiden at the Patriot Center just 2 months before that YES show!

What can I say? It caught my eye. I'm having a severe case of RIC fretless GAS syndrome.

No problem Tony!! Just glad someone was out there to see my pic! I do love it.Maybe Mr. Squire could clear up the question.....

Tony, in several interviews, I've read that Chris played a Guild fretless on "The Remembering" and he stated that "of all the bits people go on about that I've played, that's one I'm really proud of". Get the book "Yesstories, Yes in their own words" by Tim Morse for the full story. Also, Chris claims in one interview that the Guild was also used on part of CTTE.

A few edits to my original post.. in my old age I did not see the date stamped on the back of the picture as Sept 78.. that would be the Tormato Tour and I spelled Capitol Center incorrectly it was the Capitol Centre..oops..still cant remember the photographers name I remember he used to run the sound board for a band that would come to a local establishment.. the mind is growing old..

Tony, that looks like the potato head 8 string, and he does play some fretless on the 3 necker Wal during Awaken.

The first time I had ever met any member of Yes.

Here's what I wrote back in 2001 on Yestalk.com:

Lucky Dog! for once in my life.

Wow! I am so high at this moment! I got to meet Chris and Alan after the show! We were hanging out at the closest bar to the entry from the amphitheater and Alan White comes in and sits down 15 feet away from us! Only at a casino venue could this happen. Some of our group said that "don't bother him" was the correct approach, but I didn't subscribe to that theory! I went over to Alan's table & thanked him for the great performance that the band had presented us with. He was very gracious and shook hands with me, even though I could tell that he would have rather been left alone. Later Chris came into the very same bar with his group and again I refused to abide by the "leave 'em alone theory". I was able to tell Chris my feeling that the current tour, on this night, had out-performed the Masterworks tour of last year. He seemed pleased with my opinion, and I described to him the importance of his energetic performance to the Yes show. He mentioned that Alan & he play an important role together in his own, English, sort of way. We shook hands twice during the course of our conversations, and needless to say, I was very excited afterwords! The group of people, including Andy, Randy, and someone from Australia, that I was hanging out with, also were fortunate enough to talk with Tom B. (the keyboard fill person) earlier in the day. Tom is a very young man, but he seems to have the right kharma for YES!
How could today have been better? Couldn't have been! I was fortunate enough to meet Andy, Randy and the other Yes fans, I got to meet Chris, Alan and Tom, and I get to share my experience with you good people.
