Yeah, I thought about it. Then I thought that $2,000 laying around loose would have been nice. I figure Tim's Sea Green V63 will probably go for around that, too. Then I started thinking how nice it would be to have $4,000 laying around . . . .

That's the thing about collecting, the item that you're trying to sell is worth as much as the market will allow at the time. That's why it's so hard to estimate a price, if someone has the long green and the desire to have it, they'll buy it.

A few months ago, I took information from The Music Connection about a used 4003S/8 JG (mint condition) they had in inventory. The price was $1,995.
2 grands seems to be a correct price to me if the bass is in perfect condition. Of course, it would be much cheaper if the 4003S/8 was still on production.
