Early morning meanderings.....
Dane and I both brought Portabass 250s , He has a 2x10 and I have a 1x15. We did the Ric-O-Sound setup, and wow, what a tone!!!! Roundness at the bottom and punch at the top. I wonder what what my SVT and Portabass would sound like. I could hook the 4x10 to the Portabass and the 15(it's 500 watts) to the SVT. Hmmmm.
Jerry has a 650 that just blows me away tonewise. I said it sounds like a StratoPaul. I love that tone. If my SG with Pearly Gates doesn't sound as good as I think it will, I may start saving pennies for a 650!
Today I promised myself I would attempt to play one of the 12 strings. Last year I had no guitar chops, but I am ready this year! Still only have one or two chops, but hey, that's two more than most of the GC customers!!
Anyways, great fun. My coffee's ready so I'll post this and see if anyone is oot and aboot on the forum!!!!!

Naw, all the lazy slugs like me who couldn't go this year to SoCal are all still asleep
I have always like the 650C in particular, not the 650D so much, and you are right - they are a better choice than a Fenderish slab or most modern Gibbies IMHO..... definitely an E-Ticket ride.

I'm down in the lobby waiting for bkfst. There's about 50 young girls and coaches and such taking up the whole area so I'm waiting for them to split. We had a nice family style
Italian dinner ar Maggiano's last night. I didn't go to the bar after so don;t know what shenanigans went on after 11!
There were some nice jams yesterday and Darren "smoked" on Jerry's 650 on a blues tune!!
Jerry was in the back thumping away nicely on the bass! Dale did some great singing. I love these things!!!! JB is trying to talk me into going to MARF next year. we'll see........

I'm digging Graham's T-shirt, that's a cool motif. One of his older 4000's, right..?

It's 1939 Rickenbacker somethin or other. Very cool It has the screws in the edge bracing for a pup. I think they are having issues nailing down the exact time frame.

Wow, great pictures of everyone...makes me really wish I'd have blown off work...
Everybody either looks the same as last year or better! I see that Charly's a shadow of his former self, Alison is still smiling (I told you), JB cut his hair and Kenny, well...didn't. Keep having fun everyone!
Dave Pascoe...what happened to the drunken dialing you promised...or threatened?

I'm sure you guys are having a blast! So far, the highlight of my day has been watching a hailstorm and changing strings on a couple of basses.
Kenny could audition for Blue Cheer with the current hairdo. Let'er grow, dude!!!
