I couldn't find anything either. I just don't want something that's going to screw up the neck or anything else, but that will stay in tune and intonate a touch better.

Okay, I found the post, by our own Peter McCormack..

".. The 325/12s were strung with sets in which the main string gauges were 12 16 24Wound 32 42 54 the octave string gauges being 12 16 12 16 24Wound 32..."

And there you go.Image

thanks much for that info. is there a certain brand of low(er) tension flats that would be recommended for this guitar? i've only tried d-addario chromes on my 325v63, but never any on a 12 string

WOW! all I can say is WOW! I changed the strings tonight to a pieced together set of D'Addario Chromes in 12 gauge and it's night and day. Suddenly the intonation, feel, tuning stability, and sound are there. I have been standing around playing songs off Beatles for Sale for a while now and the tuning is just a little off from the strings stretching. Back to playing.

Great success!!! Got a 12-saddle?

Nope, standard 6 saddle. All it took was some different strings and suddenly everything was in place. I may try the 12 saddle bridge in the future, but for now this works great. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for finding and posting the information John, much appreciated. Your search skills are obviously much better than mine, I'll have to work on them.
