Mitch- The hi gains might have been the answer. Another way might be to back off the high end. On my Fender Twin, I usually only have the treble at 3, with mids up higher, and with my AC30, I use the tone cut knob pretty much cranked completely counterclockwise in the 7 o'clock position, or closed to that if it's too much. I don't have any problem with squealing feedback. I suppose it depends on the fuzzbox though.
Let's Active was a favorite band of mine. I think I still remember most of the music and lyrics from the first two recordings. I have them on both vinyl and CD.
