The fun thing would be to equip one with a Buzz Feiten system and then watch it go nuts. Kind of like when the Fembots blew up, but without the jumblies...

You could be a real showman and throw notes way out of tune while you play and listen to them magically ease back up into tune.

Is Gibson's public bagging of Fender a usual practice?
I don't think it's good for business to the rubbish the competition, especially when many potential Gibson customers may well be current Fender advocates. Introducing negativity when marketing a product breeds negativity towards the product itself.
I once went into a shop to compare a Gibson acoustic with a friend's Taylor. The salesman's opening line was that my friend's Taylor was "a $3,000 piece of ****". With that opinion in mind, I've never returned to the shop.

I think it's fantastic idea. kinda surprised not too many here do, but in that same way, not surprised at all that alot of people here don't like it.
Being in tune is first and foremost for me. If I hear a band playing out of tune, I walk out in the swiftest way. Imagine pressing a tiny button before a song that will assure you that the song you're about to play will be completely in tune. I think there's too much "vintage is better" "old school ways" in the guitar business now. Guess what? Hendrix was out of tune, he was painful to listen to at times, is that how we want to play all the time?
I say bring on the innovation! I think in a few years they'll work out all the kinks, the price will drop, and I'll probably end up retrofitting one to my SG. I can't wait!
