Did you get that bedspread just for the guitars?

Nope....it's been on the futon in our guest/music room long before I had either of the above guitars, but it sure does make a pretty backdrop for them, doesn't it?

Melissa, it appears to me that you need a Desert Gold Ric to complete your Mardi Gras series.
So Paul, how was the day?

I was at the President's Cup all weekend and didn't check in. Dang.
Happy belated birthday Paul! I hope you had a great day. Keep the Surf rock hangin'! I also hope George didn't wear out all your guitars.

Enjoy the golf, Dean?
I'm supposed to be playing a round next Saturday but with my bung knee I don't know whether I'll manage it. Might have to hire one of them "lectric buggee" things!!
........ pretty sure I'll be OK for the 19th, though!!

LOL George! I know THAT is very true!! It sure would be a LOT of fun trying though...
Great golf Howard. My first time being at a PGA event. Our Canuck lad, Mike Weir, did the deed to the Tiger today, although the team came up short and Mike almost blew it in the stretch.
My son and I went yesterday and today. We were watching the NBC replay feed after getting home and got to see ourselves on TV. We were in the grandstand behind him when he sank a great put on 17 to square up with Tiger. It was pretty cool seeing Kevin's reaction to the whole thing. He is much more of a fan than I, so this was a real treat.

Yeah, well the title sort of hid the thread's thrust, as it were...
Thanks to everyone for the great sentiments and good vibes!
I'll post a few pics of the brief all-acoustic set (well, there was a Rick bass for the low stuff...) that we played.

Swiped the title of the thread from Dick Dale who signs off his Birthday with that phrase...I'll add ..but it's still great to be here...

Well, it was quite a nice day. Abut 20 or 25 friends helps us to remember what fun is like and forget how old we are...
George brought a great bottle of Longboard red (a cab? I dunno...I'm off alcohol due to migraines, and gifted me two incredible boxed sets: One Sinatra's Columbia years, another Ella Fitzgerald.
On vinyl! Thanks a zillion, George.
Next year's the BIG one...gotta get a bigger house.
