Never heard this version before. I guessed this act by just listening to it and deciding that it sounded like a familiar voice and it turned out to be correct.

That is impressive, Jim! I've found out too, but only after tons of investigation (books, especially on The Beatles)!

Welcome to new forum, still finding my way round it but well done Peter.

OK last weeks BTP14 proved a little tricky for some, at times I though I had posted wrong clip as I received a lot of answers stating female singers.

Of those who entered, 40% got it right, 30% on first go.

It was in fact Tommy Roe, so well done to those who got it.

I never would have even thought of him in a million years, hard one Roy.

I guessed based on the clue about The Beatles starting a tour as the support act and ending as headliners--I had just read about it a month ago. But without Roy's clue, I would have been...clueless.

Jeepers,

I was one of the entrants who thought it was a woman singing. I would never have guessed Tommy Roe. My wife also thought that it was a female singer.

Sorry Tommy!

I thought it was a man, but I never would have associated that song with Tommy Roe. I think Buddy Holly sounding stuff and also Dizzy which was a huge hit here in the states. I also never knew he toured with The Beatles.
