Being imported boutique kinda stuff, I'll bet it's not cheap. I couldn't even find a price for them online.

The Little Mark II cost $599 from all GC stores, which includes the two year warranty. The receipt from GC may have the amp and warranty itemed separately but the two will come up to a total of $599 before tax. I can't speak of other models but by calling any GC you can get prices over the phone.

When I got my TA 501 head and 106HF, the warranty and the equipment were itemized separately on the reciept. I'm sure that's the way they'll all handle all the Markbass stuff.

I used to have an Ampeg PB250 which is light as far as Ampegs go, but was quite heavy compared to either my Markbass of Walter Woods amps, at least twice as heavy in fact.

The 250 and the B2RE may be heavier then those little toy boxes, but they are not heavy!

And I trust heavy power supplies more than light ones!

I've trusted my power supply in my WW amp since early '01 and it has all the :!:s one could ask for!

I asked for 1600 watts, so I had to get an Ampeg.....

Great! They one of the two amps I was looking to try, the Little Mark II: http://www.markbass.it/products.php?lin ... =1&vedi=69. Very loud without any breakup, great clear/punchy sound, price was right ($599), and it was TINY! I'm VERY interested. I just have to decide on a cab.

The one I played through was a Markbass 4x10, but it was nearly $1k, which is more than i'd like to spend on a cabinet. Though, it did sound pretty phenominal. I'll have to shop around and see what my options are.

Still deciding what route to take with a cabinet. It's a tricky situation because i'm gonna need to find a buyer for my B200R before I can get the new stuff, and have to VERY quickly replace it with my new setup. I'm lucky if I ever go more than two days without a gig, so i'm going to have to plan it all out perfectly.

Oh, and my GC excursion to try out the amps had one unexpected outcome - in addition to playing one of my Ricks through the setup, I spent quite a bit of time with a Musicman Sterling. I had owned one in the past and loved it - I only sold it during a time a few years back where I was barely playing any bass.

I was playing some of the funkier disco-type stuff in my bands repetoire on it, and I couldn't believe not only how perfect the sound was, but how perfect the scale length was as well - the strings were just perfectly taut for that style of playing. Also, by cranking the treble on the preamp a bit and playing muted with a pick, I was also able to get VERY close to a Carol Kaye-type tone, or like Entwistle's super-percussive tone on "Happy Jack" or "Tommy Can You Hear Me".

I found a reasonably priced used one in the same blue sparkle burst color my old one was, at Cowtown Guitars in Nevada, and went ahead an ordered it. Will be splitting time at my gig this weekend between it and the v68, all while in a gorilla suit!
