That is a welcome rarity these days! (duck)

I've had a couple of compressors. I have an old Fender compressor that someone gave me, which stopped working, I still have it, because it looks cool. I think it's pink. I suppose I could have analog man rebuild it to a compressor on steroids or something like that.
When I actually bought a compressor, I bought the cheapest one possible(Ibanez Soundtank-old) so I wouldn't be very disappointed with both the results AND the $ I spent
I buddy of mine bought the Keeley 4 knob compressor and he loves it, but that might be because it has four knobs and LOOKS cool. It just sounded like a compressor to me.
I don't use my compressor all that much; I try to use a lot of mids to get the same effect, and use the compressor as more of a clean boost when I do use it. When I am using distortion and want an extra boost I flip flop between using my Tube screamer and the compressor, depending on whether I want it more distorted or to clean boost the signal.
Damn, now I want to go plug in and crank up the volume, but it's Saturday morning. Why am I even out of bed?
