Once again thanks for all your input

when i got the bass it had badly worn frets and binding on the neck.

It looks as though someone has stripped the guitar and done some remodeling / re routing and filling + respray

The body is maple. at the time i showed the intact black beast to a few guitar repairers and makers and we all agreed that it was to far gone to restore to original. It even had a bass tremalo??

hence it is now dismembered and usefull aftermarket parts were used for other projects.

It has been hidden away for at least 10 years and came to light the other day. Thinking of making a new body for the poor old neck.
