BFTP is "Blast From The Past", Miguel. BOTV is "Battle Of The Versions".

(so that's what a computer looks like on the inside... Well, now I've got the sound back...)

A lot of variation in people's selections here. I'll go for 3, 4, 2, 1.
I never heard no.4 before, and quite liked it this time - I'd probably get sick of it pretty quickly, though...

Miguel just look on topic board for BFTP17 and then send an e-mail to myself, don't post your answer here.

2 attempts allowed to add some form of competition.

My Jury's decision:

Winner: v.3. Not necessarily the best lead vocal, but most pleasant backing. Must be a "British Beat" group.
Second: v.2. My wife favoured this! I nearly did too, good singer, a little chaotic backing.
Third: v.4. Good live performance, although a little untidy.
Fourth: v.1. This could be the original for all I know. Good voice, a little over the top to my taste.

All good versions, none to hate, not an easy list to decide!

2,1,3, 4 is a common pattern for this, that is the way I voted also.

Roy: My vote is 2,3,1,4
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

As voted by you

I never would have guessed that #4 was Paul Revere and the Raiders in a million years.
