I think a bass in the 330/360 style is hideous. Just my opinion though.

Here's another one that Rickenbacker never made, a 480 with deluxe appointments, this time by Ibanez:

The earlier Ibanez basses were pretty inaccurate copies too:rickenmetal wrote:Here's another one that Rickenbacker never made, a 480 with deluxe appointments, this time by Ibanez:

This is completely stock apart from a missing neck pickup cover - both pickups are Gibson-style humbuckers. The design dates to the early 70s, hence the full-width inlays & checker binding, although later versions were more accurate. BTW it's not mine, it belongs to a guy from Prague - who apparently bought this because Bruce Foxton from The Jam played one.
There's a variation on the 480-ish copy which appeared recently on a vintage guitars board:

This has a set neck, in addition to Fender-type (staggered pole) humbuckers & Tune-o-matic bridge & tailpiece. It also has the same checker binding as the bass, although it's not visible in the pic. It's unmodified, doesn't feature in any catalogue and is causing great consternation amongst vintage Ibanez collectors.
Jon.
