Hi Paul
Thanks for your encouragement !! Twenty eight Rics in 3 years......... that is a rapid rate of acquisition. Between you, Trotty, Howard and Elys not to mention many others, its no wonder the Ric factory can't reduce the backlog !!!
Only 5 of mine are factory-new. Rest are vintage. So I'm not responsible for any shortages...

Shane, my 330 AFG has 07 304xx for it's serial number so they are close. I agree about the variations of the AFG finishes. Your 620 AFG looks very similar to the 1996 AFG reissues produced in mid-2006. The early 1996 AFG models including the 2006 NAMM display guitar, made in October 2005 and pictured below, looked quite different from your other two Ricks.

Lovely AFG. Thanks for including a closeup of the headstock. It's the first time I've seen a closeup photo of the slim, new, old style headstock combined with the mini Schallers. I'd wondered what it would look like. Looks good!
Holy smokes! I only have five Ricks.............so far, but I have some other stuff as well.

My own mid-'06 1996 has very little amber in the color; it looks virtually like a standard FG. The newer AFG is really dialed-in, IMO.

I love the AFG and am already lusting for one. I just received my "new" 330/12 FG yesterday and it is a dream. This is my second RIC....sold my first, a beautiful 360/12 WB to the lead singer in The Mavericks. He won a grammy with that guitar! It's been a long time but I'm finally a RIC owner again.
BTW-How long does it usually take to get registered on the Rickenbacker forum??

Kevin, I'm a bit late....this topic fell off my radar for a while.
The two guitars are within 50 of each other, so they were probably done on the same day.
Hi Craig !! Welcome to the forum.
Congrats on your 330/12. You wouldn't be the first to regret selling a Ric either

I'm really happy to see our fans in Australia get their instruments, I hope you love them.
The AFG is REALLY dialed in these days, so if you see Eric lurking about, let him know that!

Hi Ben
We certainly love those Rics here !!!!
I've said it before and will say it again..........the paint jobs and finish on my three Rics is immaculate but in particular the 330AFG. Whoever did the painting and finish coats on these deserves a HUGE pay rise for what is an absolutely flawless job.

Shane's two AFG Rickenbackers look even better in the flesh, that's for sure

Ben,
given Pauls post above, just take 'em out for a pizza, we don't need another price rise just yet.

Oh that is radiant sir, radiant.
I'm still not sure about the tone it brings to the white binding of other models, but a 330 in THAT colour, with the new smaller headstock is going to be difficult to refuse. Fab.
