I'm not sure this seller is on the level. I've never seen a tailpiece as close to new as he insists this one is, with so many pits and scratches.

We have ordered a trapeze tailpiece from Pick of the Rics.
So hopefully that will arrive soon and safe and get the guitar working again!

With a trapeze on a twelve, you put two strings through each hole. They never have 12 holes. That's why I like R tailpieces, they allow me to change the strings in this order (1 low; 12 high)
12 off
12 on
10 off
11 off
11 on
10 on
8 off
9 off
9 on
8 on
7 off
7 on
6 off
6 on
4 off
5 off
5 on
4 on
2 off
3 off
3 on
2 on
1 off
1 on
I've said itbefore and I'll say it again... Leave it to a math guy...

Wow! That's an elaborate response!

Someone used to sell a trapeze tailpiece with 12 holes, I tried it but went back to the "R". I can't find it though...

On eBay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/12-string-trapeze-t ... otohosting

Those outside holes look pretty close to the edge, though. And it doesn't seem to come with the mounting bracket.

Here is one, but it has a $300 BIN and doesn't have Australia as a ship-to.

The ones on Ebay are by Chip Miller AKA Winfield. Don Adamek, RRF member, also has some available.
