The models are listed by most popular model (period), not most popular searched model, basically the idea is that there are more 4001 than, say - 4005, so it is logical to put the 4001 before the 4005 because it is more likely that someone will want to add it than a 4005.

I see... so, as it seems, the only way to "optimize" the non-automated search for a particular model in the menu is to remember the order of popularity?

Order has been changed to alpha-numeric.

Please note that when you change an item - it goes back to the "need approval" list so it will not be seen until Peter re-approves it.

Hello Al and welcome to the forum. If you are looking for the serial number on a 4001, it is located on the output jackplate. Look on the top and bottom of the plate for the full serial number. There should be two letters on the top and a few numbers on the bottom.

Hmmmm.... I didn't see any of my guitars when I looked for my entries, but I bet I registered all of mine under my husband's email address, before I got my own email account.... Is there a way to fix that? It'll be nice to get caught up on my registrations, because I know I've missed quite a few of my more recent acquisitions! Right now I can't remember which ones I've already registered, but I know that a couple of them are no longer in my possession....

Peter, I have one '05 4003 registered to me that I no longer own. Can it be removed from my list? Also I have a '73 registered that I was unsure of the serial #. It automatically entered the date of manufacture as 1982-02. I finally correctly entered the serial as ML6323 but it still says 1982-02 as the manufacture date when it should be 1973-12. Thanks

Currently the automatic mfgdate tool I wrote isn't being invoked on edits, I will change that. Basically the idea behind it was that Peter or I need to approve every change/addition before it goes public. Some serials cannot be decoded by the system at the moment (earlier than 1961) so I decided not to recalculate upon edit. As I said - i've had better decisions in my life, I will change that

As for the item that is no longer yours - just edit it putting "no longer mine" on the comments, we will do the rest.

Yes, i know. My problem was with the sequence of numbers in models' field in the "Search" list. But now they're in numerical order, which makes it easier (and faster) to do the search — well, at least for me. (And thanks for that)
