Okay this one did prove difficult but as usual nearly 50% of those who had a go did get right answer, if not first time on their second guess.

Well done to all of you

It was Paul Revere and The Raiders a previously unreleased track that recently appeared on a compilation.

I got this one even though I had never heard it before. The singers voice was very familiar but it was the guitar solo that convinced me who it was. It's strange how some of these just click into place. It's an interesting twist on the Searchers version but I have to say that The Searchers version is still my favorite.

Btw Aitch I would have placed a bet that you would never figured this one out. I am pretty sure they never received airplay in Oz.

They did not get any airpaly in UK Brian that I can recall, in fact it is only recently that I have heard tracks by them myself.

Theyappear to have covered a number of tracks that were hits in UK for British acts on their album.

This is a topic that we have covered before but may be worth re-visitng, namely those acts that were big in UK but did nothing in US and vice versa.

I am very familiar with them and this track sounded nothing like anything I've ever heard them do before. I even questioned who was singing as it didn't sound like Mark Lindsay, to me anyway. I got it on my second guess. Roy has positive genius in getting songs by bands that sound nothing like the band's trademark sound. :D

Musically, this one sounds similar to their version of "Louie, Louie" — that, and the fact that according to AMG, they've recorded that song  , made me think it was them.
