It looks like I should be able to get Friday the 25th off from work, so I should be there Friday, maybe stay Friday night, Saturday, then I play Saturday night in Tampa, and am attending a concert Sunday afternoon also in Tampa, so I'll probably just be there Friday and Saturday. I have an idea for some rowdy music fun on Friday night, though... so email me if you're interested and I'll try to set something up.

So here's what I'm wondering.....
Is the Orlando show worth the trek from the snowy north? I'm thinking of coming down for Friday and leaving on Saturday - is there a place to stay near the venue? It's all a bit tentative at this point, but I'd be interested in finding out a bit more about the show and what might be going on. What did you have in mind Friday night Jason?

I just perused the link on p.1 of this thread (guitar expo link) and it says there is a Howard Johnson hotel. I'll call them tonight and see if one can still get the guitar show rate of $65 (it says book by Jan. 2)

Friday night I was thinking we could hit the strip, aka International Drive. There are a ton of bars, restaurants, incl. Howl At The Moon (dueling piano bar with full rock band). I know some of the musicians there and could probably get us hooked up with some beverages maybe, not sure yet. I'll make some calls this week.

I'm booked at the HJ for Friday and Saturday nights. I should be there early Friday afternoon.

Cool. Has anyone already reserveda rental car? I thought maybe I'd rent a van and tote everyone around if it will help.
