I agree with Squid. Rickenbacker humbuckers are not for metalheads, IMHO. They have more of a "Les Paul chunk" as Squid states or perhaps even a pushed-gain Strat tone. Part of the beauty of Ric 'buckers is the absence of microphonics so there are virtually no inherent issues with feedback. Also, for having such high output, they are the quietest humbuckers I've ever played. At the other end of the spectrum? Gibson Classic '57 humbuckers. OMG, breathe on 'em and you can hear 'em. Finally, you might want to hang on to your 330/6 with Hi-Gains (way cool and versatile) and add one of the 650-series models to your quiver. Just my dos centavos' worth. Regards....Goofyfoot.
