How could I forget?
RTFM
We were a bunch of musicians who all worked at Sybase in the early 90s. A number of us were in Tech Support, hence the band name..... once a month we'd get together on a Friday night for a jam at a video studio in Berkeley. Great fun was had by all, and we actually got pretty good (or so we thought).

Mostly old-time string bands:
- The Euphoria String Band
The 97th Regimental String Band
The Arkansas River Catfish & Cornbread Band
I was in a short lived garage rock band in high school. We called ourselves "The Illusions" More descriptive of us, than our music, I think.
Always wanted to name a rock band "Tribe of Honkies."

Ha! I always wanted to name a band with a positive sounding name and came to the name Up. I figured the first album name would be "Uranus"....
