Can I get a similar Firebird tone from a Strat running through a VOX AC-30?

It's not gonna be that close. Strats have a sound all their own IMO.

To me, this seems pretty pricy. One of my local shops just had a MkIII in a month or two ago, although in red w/ Bigsby, for $900. I love my Vox, but for that money, I'd just go ahead and hunt down a Ric 1997 or 330. That's too much money for a lot of vibe and not a lot of tonal versatility.
